PET preform mould is a tool used to produce PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) preforms, widely applied in the packaging industry for beverages, food, cosmetics, etc. Here's an introduction to it:

Description Structure composition:

1. It mainly consists of cavities, cores, hot runner systems, cooling systems, and ejection systems. The cavities and cores determine the shape and size of the preforms. The hot runner system is used to evenly deliver molten PET plastic to each cavity, while the cooling system is responsible for quickly cooling the preforms. The ejection system pushes the formed preforms out of the mold.

2. Cavity number selection: A wide range of cavity numbers are available, ranging from 2 cavities to 144 or even more. Common options include 4, 8, 12, 24, 48, 72 cavities, etc., which can be chosen according to production needs.

3. Material selection: The mold's cavities and cores usually use high-quality steel such as S136 stainless steel, with high hardness, corrosion resistance, and good polishing performance. The base plate often uses P20 mold steel with chrome plating treatment to enhance wear resistance and rust prevention capabilities. and also use 4CR13 stainless steel.

Rational cooling system design, such as spiral circulation waterways and flip-over water channels, can accelerate cooling speed and shorten the preform forming cycle. Meanwhile, the application of hot runner systems reduces material waste and improves injection efficiency, enabling high-speed production.

 Mold components are made of high-quality steel and undergo heat treatment and surface treatment processes, such as nitriding and hard chrome plating, which enhance hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. This gives the mold a longer service life and reduces production costs.
